Riikka Laine-Tolonen appointed new CEO of S-Bank
The Board of Directors of S-Bank Plc has appointed Riikka Laine-Tolonen, M.Sc. (Econ.), as the new CEO.
Tolonen previously worked as Head of Personal Customers at Danske Bank. Prior to that she has held diverse executive positions at Nordea. Laine-Tolonen will take up her post in April 2023.
Jari Annala, S-Bank's Chairman of the Board of Directors, says many candidates showed interest in the position. Annala is very pleased that Riikka Laine-Tolonen will take up the position.
“Riikka has extensive and in-depth experience in banking and wealth management. She has successfully led a variety of functions and has very strong business competence. Riikka has made her wide-ranging career in banking sector especially in personal banking and has all the necessary skills to lead the 15-year-old S-Bank towards one million active customers. The search process for S-Bank's CEO was launched when the previous CEO stepped down in May 2022. Deputy CEO Hanna Porkka will continue in her current role as Interim CEO until Laine-Tolonen takes up her post. After that Porkka will return to the posts of Deputy CEO, EVP, Wealth Management.
